Our client had an amazing home where he was doing some renovations including garage doors. He had some builder-grade garage doors that were not aesthetically appealing. Our client already knew what he wanted because he had done a lot of research on glass garage doors prior to calling us. He called us because we have experience installing glass garage doors. This door from CHI is a fairly new garage door and not many garage door companies understand them. However, we were able to work with the manufacturer to get all the details and quote the door properly.
Details about the door:
This door is a 3 layer 2″ thick steel garage door with urethane insulation. The front is glass. Our client wanted to be able to see out so we had windows put into the third section. With this glass door, he’s able to see out the garage and has an insulated garage door. This door is unique and not many manufacturers offer a frameless glass garage door like it. The glass is dark tinted (black); the front of the door behind the glass is flush black steel. The back of the door is white steel as you can see in the photos. We put these garage doors on 20″ radius, raising the height of the doors when in the horizontal position. This is great if you have cars with rear gates. It allows you to open the gates without hitting the door. These doors are beautiful and the customer said we exceeded his expectations.
