Genie’s 6170HB is a wall mount garage door opener that features the smart Aladdin Connect system. Aladdin Connect allows you to remotely monitor and control your garage door from your phone. It works in conjunction with your home router and doesn’t require any other hardware. This opener attaches directly to the garage door’s spring tube instead of following the traditional rail and powerhead design. Wall mount openers free up ceiling space inside the garage and give a cleaner, open look. You may want to consider the Genie 6170HB if you have beam obstructions that prevent the use of a traditional opener. As part of the wall mount pro series, the 6170HB can fit into tight spaces and is ideal for garages with less square footage.
The 6170HB also comes with Safe-T-Beam safety sensors, which flash an invisible beam across the door opening. If anything passes through this beam, the garage door will stop and reverse. Through the safety system, you can continuously monitor your garage from your smartphone. Encryption technology on the garage door opener remotes prevents piracy from the radio signal sent by remotes. This garage door opener is compatible with all HomeLink and Car2U systems without the need for additional repeater boxes or compatibility bridges.
