Aaron Overhead Doors is a turn-key garage door company based in Buford, GA (2400 Satellite Blvd NE Suite A Buford, GA 30518), Buckhead, GA (3273 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305), and Milton, GA (850 Mayfield Rd #101C, Milton, GA 30009). We’re a customer service company in the garage door business.
What makes us unique?
In 2019, Ryan asked his team a difficult question, “What makes us different in a way that is quantifiable?” Not just how do we feel or seem different than other companies, but what do we do in practice that sets us apart? We struggled to come up with an answer. Although WE knew we were better, how do we articulate that in a way that no other company can?
This caused a major shift in how we handled training, customer service, and products. Now, to set us apart from other local garage door companies, we:
- Only hire employees, not sub-contractors.
- Have all of our service professionals become industry certified.
- Built a training center to ensure we have the most skilled service people in the industry.
- Offer super high-end garage doors and openers for homes and businesses.
- A part of the International Door Association’s Top 100 Door Dealers List for seven years in a row.
- Went on a research and development journey to find the best replacement parts in the world.
We wanted to assess how we approach our services and products because we’re in a time when homeowners’ confidence in the service providers they hire is at an all-time low. By striving to be a cut above in all the ways listed above, we can consistently provide great service and earn the confidence of local home and business owners. We can now say that we are a premium overhead door service, but we also have options for people with all budget ranges. How did we start?
Aaron Overhead Doors was originally founded in 1968 in California and owned by the Contes. Their son Larry and Ryan Lucia (Aaron Overhead Doors Atlanta) became friends when Ryan did marketing and consulting work for Aaron Overhead Door California. After learning about garage doors through research, Ryan fell in love with the business and decided to work with Larry to launch the third location of Aaron Overhead Doors in Buford, GA. The vision is to grow this company from three locations to over ten in the next 15 years – and we’re well on our way.
Beyond owning Aaron Overhead Doors, Ryan Lucia is also a thought leader in the garage door industry. In 2019, he started a podcast called Torsion Talk. It’s now considered the garage door industry podcast where business owners go to get information about the industry and education on running a better business. His position has also opened doors for him to speak at industry events, discussing his experiences with culture and growth.
